Conferred to active Mississippi –linked art patrons, Robert joins the list of a few recipients but he is the first one to receive this award. Other recipients are Morgan Freeman, the actor, Shelby Foote and Eudora Welty, among others.

Regarding the award, Carl Elefante of AIA said that the management was proud of Ivy’s achievements. Having joined the organization in 2011 when he started serving as the CEO and senior editor, Ivy has been a dedicated brand ambassador for architects.
