Acquisition of Baho Food by OSI Group

OSI group, a premiere global supplier of value added food products, recently acquired another food and retail service based in Netherlands known as Baho Foods.

However, in as much as the financial terms were not discussed the president of OSI group stated that the addition of Baho was aimed to increase the presence in Europe. In addition, he stated Baho would help in strengthening the processes of production of products and brands.

With Baho having five subsidiaries, the company is set to increase operations in Germany and Netherlands. Some of Baho’s subsidiaries include the Gelderland Frischwaren and the Q Smart Life. In total, all five subsidiaries serve around 18 European countries.

The best thing is that the group has considered retaining nearly all Baho employees from the Managing director. They are set to help the group executives to grow the company together. The company will grow even faster with the same team partnering with the group.

“I am very happy to be a part of the larger OSI and I believe that our relationship will improve to both our consumers and suppliers,” said Baho, “Additionally, we will work to position the group to be one of the best value-added food products company using Baho.”

John Balvers believes that with the combined effort between Baho and the group, the group stands a chance to provide even better support to their customers. John added that although the transition may be challenging it is definitely possible.

Important Things About the Group

The global leading retail food services, found in Illinois, is led by Sheldon Lavin. The company began in 1909 by a father who had a vision to provide food to as many people as possible.

The company grew so fast that he had to privately own the company together with the sons. In its early beginnings, Otto and sons was involved in coming up with already prepared food that was ready to cook such as bacon.

At this time, they had the processing equipment that also made it easier for them to process other things like chili and beans. So far, the group has developed five patty lines that are useful in processing food.
